Yes, it likes to spread itself by creating more humans, but the true nature of it comes out when pressed to a wall and everything is pushed aside for its own survival, or the survival of the integrity of the ego in control of it.
On one hand, you have the subconscious brain and its primitive impulses, which is a part of that body as is the brain of any other animal, but then you have the conscious one which seeks completely different goals to those of your body, and you happen to be exactly that while being completely isolated from controlling the subconscious one.
