>>11125911foolish as always. engineers will never have the feeling of actually doing work. sure, you might earn a couple bucks here and there for a shitty project, but work and hapiness for us requires no money. Im in physics but I really admire mathematicians in this regard given it requires no money or any other barriers to research whatever you like. (not as easy with physics because you need to get funding, but I always did love math more than physics deep down). But for you engineers, all you care about is money and what others think of you. I have a brother who is an engineer and he is very much the same way- always trying to prove himself and show that he isnt as bad as what others say of engineers. But all of this aside, you should be proud of what makes you different not try to best others. For me, I am quite fond of the AutoCAD stuff I see my brother working on for companies. It genuinely looks interesting and could see myself in another timeline doing it myself.
