What are some /sci/ approved websites about climate change? Preferably independent websites that aren't run by insane people.
I never really gathered much information about it, I obviously hear a lot about how bad it is on the news but I want to do some research on my own. Especially because it seems like it isn't that obvious after all.
A public Q&A from Dan Pena got me to think. He said if climate change is true, it will cause the sea level to rise, thus flooding big parts of countries coasts and therefore destroying a lot of the private economy. But big investors like banks still invest their money into those regions that supposedly will be flooded anyways if climate change really is true. To conclude what Mr. Pena said, one could say that climate change isn't true because otherwise investors wouldn't invest into coast area dependant economies.
On the other hand my own belief is that climate is true. But we aren't the only cause. It is well known that we'll before our time climate underwent different cycles. But we are indeed fastening the process. But from the beginning of time, when the first living organism started living on earth, we were determined to be where we are now. Earth's population is growing exponentially so it's obvious that we will have problems.
But again, do any of you have independent sources about climate change?
