RTGs can be very small i think, if you define that as a reactor

nuclear explosives meanwhile can be stupidly tiny if you use the proper isotopes, the soviets designed a working but impractical osmium-filled bullet fired from a rifle that would blow up a building

it needed to be kept refrigerated for storage, heated up for some specific amount of time like maybe 30 minutes before firing, and if it wasn't fired just around that sweet spot it would be destroyed and unsafe to fire, all of which made it unreasonable for an actual combat situation

also i think it was radioactive as fuck
