What is the scientific reason why bullied outcasts in high school grow up to become losers while the bullies grow up to become successful?

Sociopaths are extremely good at extracting social capital from a situation, there is a reason they're so prevalent in higher positions: they have the low empathy and the narcissism required to work their way to the top without experiencing the stressors sane people would (like guilt, remorses, self doubt, etc...).

On the other side people bullied tend to be too docile/agreeable and have low self esteem which leads to them being easily taken advantage of, especially if they have noone to help them develop some spine at a seminal stage of their life (which school is).

50% of success in life is just showing up and being there on time.

Literally any city or town? Police officers were bullies, Firemen were jocks, Lawyers and Businessmen were Chads, Politicians were the popular kids, Doctors (while nerdy) were usually wealthy kids. The only sectors that the bullied "nerd" has any hope of being the boss is in technology and science, and they become the boss of other lower nerds.

Me knowing analysis doesn't actually fucking matter to anyone, and odds are common people will appreciate someone that can do 2+2 more than me. Because it's more relevant to them.

Utter psychopaths worm their ways into middle management where total disregard for human wellbeing is seen as a competitive edge by the CEO. When the smarter psychos get to the top we get spectacular implosions such as Enron.

I once worked in a corp. where the top management belatedly realised they had filled the entire middle management layer with smooth talking incompetent psychopaths and suddenly realised they age old tradition of nepotistic promotion from within the corporation would be a financial suicide. Not fun times. Meanwhile they earned far more then I ever will. Because nice guys finish last.

No. The scary thing to people like that is despite them trying their damnedest, that sickle, frail and fragile thing they tried to down, broken as it may be, rattles itself back to life, and keeps coming back.

Generally it's who ever becomes the most screwed up mentally is the least successful later in life.
The bullied outcast can become messed up from all the stress and stunted social development, but that doesn't always happen. While the bully often is messed up in the head to begin with and uses bullying as a coping mechanism.
