Trying to get into LaTeX this month, what online or offline editors do you guys like?

It literally took me a day to learn the basics.

Go on youtube and watch videos on installing Texmaker, if you have specific questions go on stack exchange or here.

Downside is Texmaker really sucks when it comes to finding syntax errors, so always quickmake/quicktest into a PDF every 5 minutes. It's literally just pressing a button.

It's really easy, especially if whatever you're writing for has a template you can use. I used texstudio and the mixtek distribution or whatever you call it

I use latex2png, but I just recently found Pages accepts LaTeX expressions directly, so I'm probably going to try that from now on.

This. Honestly texmaker is pretty good otherwise, at least for linux.
Vim isn't bad either but the downside is that you then have to compile manually

Texmaker, but I also use TeXStudio sometimes because you can tandem it with LanguageTool to get a grammar check.
