As for theoretical; get some old edition textbooks and the answer manuals and work through them. Structure your self directed course on a european type chemistry degree, rather than a US as they lack rigour. Clayden for organic chemistry is pretty comprehensive, and atkins physics as well as atkins inorganic is good. Also read Keelers "why chemical reactions happen" as a primer.
