It doesnt. Autogynephilia is the result of sexual trauma. Many trannies admit to being either raped, molested, humiliated, abused etc during their formative years. This causes them to fetishize their trauma (usually because it was their very first sexual encounter) and their brain gets triggered by reexperiencing the sensation in the same way as it should normal heterosexuality.

Not the same as gender dysphoria though, thats a whole different thing.

A successful transgender person can live their life with nobody ever knowing. This is the reason why it's literally impossible to get a census on how many transgendered people are out there. They don't show up in the data because they choose to keep that part of their lives secret the ones who are successful are able to achieve their anonymity/secrecy.

The moment humanity developed it's first method of healing or assisting with coping with natural conditions natural selection in humanity started becoming less of a factor.
Look at ancient Egypt. People suffered from headaches that could be debilitating or result in them being useless or die was resolved in many cases with Trepanning. That allowed them to live/survive longer and pass on their genes.
