Book - costs a lot, nice to hold in hand, takes up a lot of space, can't ctrl+f, hard to carry around
Tablet/pc - totally free, can hold as many books as you like, can ctrl+f, can be hard to look at for long times, more possibilities to be distracted if you're weak willed, can quickly look up terms concepts you don't know.
If you have a book you want to read, I recommend you read the book. If not, don't make up excuses and just download the pdf.
