College Engineering Dropouts: Wat Do?

No.11106364 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Hello /sci/entists. I dropped out of a mechanical/electrical engineering degree this summer and I still feel like becoming an hero.
Aside from continuing to study and read at my own new leisure, is there any realistic way left I can use my mind to apply myself/ invent something/ discover something despite not being conventionally educated anymore? Math and science are my life.
Apprenticeships? (I look for them but they are hard to get into, especially for dropouts)
Joining a small engineering company as a technician?
Programming? (I find programming hard and I fear a future of just developing useless code)
Also, if you are also a dropout, what are you doing to pursue your passion for STEM? Please redpill this unworthy moron who blew his best chance.
