I feel like the concept of religion was just created as a primative stand in for government/organizations as humanity grew into more advanced and spread out communities. I'd think that by 2019 we as a species would have already moved on from silly concepts like "God" or "Devil". A simple look around already proves that the bible and other religious texts are 100% wrong and most of the morals are outdated anyways. Job did nothing to earn his punishment yet the bible said God was just in those awful acts. Murdering Job's wife and kids only to replace them once Job "passed" the test. That does nothing to justify the lives taken at all. Why do so many people believe this stuff? It's wrong scientifically and wrong morally.
