that said i do think any "loop hole" we end up creating will have to done so by putting in a device at sublight speeds at the other end up the jump point.
for example (for the slow guys)
we develop a jump ring to fly space ship through jumppoint A. Jumppoint A would be located near earth orbit.
jumppoint B will have to be transport using regular technology at 10% to 20% speed of light. Once "installed" people can jump from point a to point b, instantaneously
but as it stands we havent been able fold not even one planck of space.
