Pretty interesting, I feel like for sure he could've gotten a top tier position at a US institution like Terry, maybe he had family reasons for going back.
Anyway, as far as his English is concerned, he's as American as apple pie. But now I'm only more confused as to why his papers are written so fucking oddly then. I assumed it was some foreign ESL thing but English is this motherfucker's native language.
