>>11110436>>11109864every ridge to a convex curve on the outside is a ridge leading to a concave curve on the inside. If the inside were using an actual lighting based model, the same as the front side, then the inside of the mask would have bright peaks in the reverse of the outside's dark valleys.
Instead, in the animation the inside of the mask has the same dark "valleys" textured over where there should be bright peaks. There does appear to be at least "some" very very very faint overall shading, but it is not a major factor towards the the way the inside of the mask appears because the inside uses a baked texture derived from the outside of the mask. There are some key areas in the face that give it away, such as the bottom of the tip of the nose. On the front side, the left image, it is shaded relative a lightsource appearing to be above the point of view of the camera. On in the inside however, the bottom of the nose valley is still shaded even though at the same angle of lighting, it should be bright instead of shaded. The brow ridges and the lips give it away too.
