>>11099088The semantic issue is degrees celsius are treated both as a scale and as a unit. When you add two things together, either both of them are intervals or one of them is. To add two points on a scale together does not make sense without a reference point. And by converting between Celsius and Fahrenheit, your are implicitly changing that reference point.
