There is no human sex pheromone

Women secrete hormones which signal their period, but the only effect it has it lengthening or shortening the periods of women around them. They say a group of women who live together long enough will all have their periods synchronized and I'm pretty sure pheromones is the mechanism that's responsible.

I think you are right, it is pheromones. Some women's smell makes me crazy, while others turn me away. And I know it isn't cologne because I had that experience just after they bathed in the sea, so any perfumes would wear off. Similarly, certain people (and I'm including both genres in this)have a putrid smell that makes me wanna puke.
