Light isn't impacted by gravity in the classical sense. It's path impacted by the spacetime curvature of object with mass.

You can't slow down a photon. Any particle with energy but no mass will move at c.

Classically gravity is just the attraction between objects with mass. In classical physics light would not be impacted by gravity.

As a simplification, in relativistic terms gravity is the result of spacetime curvature caused by objects with mass. LIght need not have mass to be impacted by the spacetime curvature of an object with mass. The cause of lights path change in this sense is not gravity, but they have the same underlying cause.
