I think the The Calculus and analytic geometry 2nd edition it's better. I am reading both and the one i say have better definitions.

For what course (calculus for math, physics, engineering, biology, etc)?

Leithold is not suitable for math or physics students. Otherwise, I think it's decent. It's level is not much higher than Stewart's.

Check your own work like a mathematician would. Seriously. Books can have the wrong answer and it helps to be able to check it and not fully rely on the fallible author. In most higher division math courses there won't be solutions in the back anyways.

And Kline has a full solutions manaual online from the publisher.
