If physics/engineering/biology is so great then why does everyone end up being a software engineer regardless? Is computer science the ultimate field to be in?

Right - but my point still stands. I was on a plane to a conference and the person I was sitting besides was an infra guy. We talked salary and he was hella paid - we ended up connecting on linkedin. Turned out he's a PhD in microbiology. It seems that all other fields are completely pointless to get into if you want to actually own a house in today's america
