The problem is as you pick up the gun you make your likelyhood of a future where some miracle saves you less likely. Every moment your finger is closer to pulling the trigger is a moment the multiverse of pain widens for you.
In most universes, the quantum immortality survivor is one who never picked up the gun at all.
However OP the same principle as quantum immortality means you CAN navigate yourself through the 5th dimension. You cannot actually jump timelines, but you can guarantee certain ones dont exist or the other ones are more likely. This is what you are doing when predicting how something will go
You are viewing the 4th dimension that way, and then modifying it based on what you saw. In a sense this is the only way it ever could have gone, but in another had you not the ability to predict what futures might exist, it would go exactly as predicted
