Not being able to drink tap water is mostly a problem near big cities and huge plantations. My city's river is big enough to be navigable and I can drink it, although it is of course treated. If you only include water which can be drank straight from the source, with no filtering at all, then the vast majority of the world doesn't have access to proper water.
