I live in Germany with the prospect of pursuing my M.Sc. in Engineering.
Option 1:
Automotive Engineering:
Not exactly what I wanna study, however, the course offered at the Uni in of decent rep. it's leaning towards practical with a compulsory internship, thus prolonging the course more. Also there are a lot of new things for me as a Mechanical Engineering grad. like embedded systems/software engineering and electrical eng., which will prolong the course even more. So it will on average take 3-4 years.
Pros: I can find work relatively easy (I think).
Option 2:
Computational Engineering:
Sounds exotic and has lots of maths. I don't particularly enjoy maths, but I don't hate it. It was my desire to study CE for a year now and still is. The university offering it is an elite university and course is pretty hard unlike the AE course which is to an extent easier.
Work is unpredictable, and due to it's difficult nature, one might end up with shit-tier grades and fail to score a PhD (I don't even want to).
I chose AE at first, and my dream is to be an astronaut, so when I went to sleep the other night I couldn't sleep from anxiety and heavy as fuck breathing. I am extremely confused and I'll have to make my final choice in 6-7 hours. I've been thinking and analyzing this for months now and I couldn't reach something that makes me feel satisfaction.
What is your judgement on the matter? What would you do if you were me?
