>>11088773yeah, honestly a good high school teacher should probably be able to just teach it without a textbook. it would take some more work to TeX up handouts of summaries of the material, but the fact that the teacher and the 'text' would be 100% consistent would help students (and it would save them money on the textbook)
i know most math high school teachers don't have PhD's so maybe they don't have years of experience doing calculus on a daily basis, but plenty of people do it on a daily basis and they know everything that would be in a calculus textbook by heart and have forgotten 100% about how their original high school book presented it. i don't even remember the author of my calc textbook but i did a few derivatives and a couple of integrals today by hand just figuring out some kinematics in a research idea
