Back when I was completely brainwashed by American schools that we had superior tech, better ideas, ect. I used to think the Soyuz was the most backwards ass piece of shit. "how can they still use this thing". Now I realize, that NASA is so bureaucratic that sending a human being into space with our own rockets is going to cost a fuck load. We are not going back to the moon, but the good is news, nether is China. As soon as parties switch in the US, NASA will get manned space flight funding cut.

The Soyuz has proven to be utilitarian. They say this thing is cheaper than 35mil to launch, yet they make us pay through the nose to use it, and its still cheaper the she shitty shuttle. Now all I can do is look in awe and give this craft the respect it deserves. This is how people go to space, the only way, the safest way.
