colleges are nice environments. they are funded lavishly to be a good environment for 18-22 year olds who performed better intellectually than their peers. and grad students and postdocs and professors are meant to be those smart people to train them to become smart successful adults.

being a grad student is being one of the people to nourish the minds of these precious young minds. and the girls are in their prime, most good-looking years.

how could you not enjoy being a TA? you get to prove your intellectual dominance over a room full of 18-22 year olds when you are 23-26, and they all look up to you and ask you for help. what could be better for one's ego?

the money is not great for the precise reason that life is so good. you need to sacrifice to have such an awesome life. and then if you become a postdoc, things get even better. and fuck, i'm not there yet but being a professor seems so fucking sweet, all they do is write a few grants and school a few undergrads and then they get sick gibz
