I'm originally from Bonglandia, just like you, and I went a comprehensive.
I suffered with depression for years, and retook my A-levels at 21 and got straight A*s. The next year, I took my SAT, with subjects, and aced it.
I'm now in my mid-20s are doing my BSc, needs-blind, at Yale.
Oh, to top that off, my GPA isn't shitty like yours.
