we couldn't make everyone stop cutting themselves when they called themself emo, the chinese did nothing to stop foot binding back in the day, people still engage in religious/ritualistic fastings, etc. etc. etc.
all we can do is watch a small minority of people chemically and/or physically castrate themselves and wait for it to pass
really theres nothing else we can do
