What the animation implies, since the door is not shot directly with the lipstick device, is that the looping alters the radiant energy in some way, either by focusing it or by changing its phase. In any case it seems like there is more energy leaving the system than what entered it. For the mirrors to enhance the energy some of it would have to be absorbed by them, or more energy would need to be fed into the system from them, in this case priming the system with the initial radiation source seems redundant, if concealing the devices use was not a factor in its design, or possibly the final radiation is a combination of two different energy sources creating a third energy distinct form the inputs, in a 1+1=3 system.
