Think back to the early 1900s, when all the wolves in Yellowstone were slaughtered. Yellowstone died, the elk population went rampant, desecrating all vegetation. Only once wolves were reintroduced, did it eventually restore to it's former beauty. Now I ask you this, 'Why are wolves not proliferating like the elks mentioned above'?
Think of this anti-child outlook you observe as an endogenous expression seated by evolution within select races. As, a sort of, population control function.
Other interesting thoughts along the same line; hormesis is an evolved response to ensure the survival of a given species e.g. some pathogen/toxin has effected the population count, thus, the remaining must strengthen, live longer, and restore the loss.
