Should I change my major to Aerospace engineering or stay in pre-med BioSci ? Can't decide, I really enjoy Physics and I've done very well in my AP classes but I always wanted to become a surgeon; also 8 more years of schooling doesn't sound great. Is the engineering life really so bad?

Engineering all the way. You can still do well with a 4 year, or do grad school and get into bioengineering.
With a 4 year "biosci", or pretty much any related science degree you're gonna be stuck as a lab tech until you go back to grad school.

At least from my understanding as a european, shouldn't it in the american be perfectly possible for OP to major in aerospace engineering while also taking all the courses necessary to apply to medical school?

You will live a life of servitude if you go into either field. Yes the people need doctors and engineers but it is relatively easy to be successful in these fields if you have an IQ of 120, slightly above the standard norm. I would rather be a master of my own life and succeed or fail based on my hand alone.

I go to school with a guy that got his masters is aerospace. He is studying computer engineering now because it is really difficult to land a job in aerospace.

Nobody can tell you the right answer OP.

I thought for a long time I wanted to pursue a Ph.D. But I got sick and ended up in the hospital- the experience changed my life and led me to pursuing medicine. Apply for REUs or industry internships and make your decision after some exposure
