Okay so lets say I have 2 stone balls and one is heated up it’s basically melting. So i drop them off a high building and the lava ball goes splat and burns into the ground a little while the room temperature one busts a crater in it. How did the expenditure of potential energy differ and did the lava ball expend less in the first few seconds of and after impact?
