>>11078799What is consciousness to you?
From what I gathered, only you can define it, because it's deeply tied to your own subjectivity. Others may possess it, be subject to the same sensations, in a way, but they can't feel what you feel, so their input have to be minimized.
Why do you feel that way? Isn't it strange to feel only what you feel and not what others feel? Why does your experience have to be compartmentalized, so unique? Packed up into a nice sense of libre arbitre?
At this point, you should feel that your mind is warping around itself. You're referencing to something that is the thing referencing itself.
Isn't that what conscience is all about? A concept looping around itself? A concept complex enough to be able to question the concepts it is tied to, including itself?
Isn't consciousness then just a reference, a pointer to itself?
This isn't the answer you wanted, and it is understandable.
We try to append to much importance to the concept of consciousness. So much that we aren't satisfied when it becomes too complex, or too simple.
We expect some grand truth in place where there is none. And as a result feel deeply unsatisfied with the answers we get.
What's a consciousness?
Does it even die with you?
