I like it to be honest. However, I've seen this movie play out a million times. You'll end up wielding great power but because you're completely illiterate in physics and chemistry and biology, you'll have no idea what your power can achieve

Yeah this. I don't know how many electives you get to play with or whether you do a minor as well but try and try and use the rest of your credits on whatever physical science interests you so you've at least got something to ground all this in.

Yeah I guess there's also finance, economics and business intelligence angles. Doesn't need to be a science but that's my background so I just defaulted to it.

it's not bad but could use some things. do some of these have hidden prerequisites? if not i would add probability, calculus 3, pure linear algebra if the current one is applied, and a proof class like analysis. then, it should encourage a major/minor in another relevant field cause >>11073476

There is specialized tracks. The Biomedical one requires chemistry and biology courses.

My major requirements, everyone. No, you didn't miss algebra, it isn't even on there. Oh well, at least they let me test out of classes so I'll have a lot of freedom in taking electives in whatever I want.

What difference does it make? Both you and >>11074900 will both be taking data science and biology courses. How will he be more likely to get a job than you?

Biology people aren't viewed as actual people, most of the time. Also employers would rather have the assurance of a degree relevant to the job than some "courses on the side", and they would probably think the extra biomedical science degree means they want to be paid more just for having it.

Well because his degree is geared for it. My degree is geared for obscure research that only molecular biologists can understand. I also don't really take as much statistics, math and coding as him because I can't.
