What if black holes just squeeze down the matter so tight that it explodes out of the confines of the black hole altogether, like gas pressurizing a container until it explodes? What if, at a certain point, the outward pressure of the mass itself overwhelms the inward pressure of the gravitational pull, and that's what hawking radiation is?
This would imply that black holes either A: have no true "mass", but are just a "stable system" of compression and expansion, or B: they have a "mass" as the intermediary between solidification and explosion, but that mass is consistently recycling as new matter comes in and old matter is expelled out.
