Occam's Razor is a good guide here. And it also shows old philosophers had some interesting thought while modern day philosophers are con artists.

Plato is fine. I haven't looked much beyond that. I think the readable stuff is best, but I'm still interested in reading Nick Land and others. Why can't they write more lucidly? Isn't one of the hallmarks of great writing clarity?
