Exams are held twice a year for each subject, but the student only need to complete one exam for each subject. The students can apply to take the exam at different times, that way everyone gets to finish at their own pace.
In this system the school as an institution and school as an achidemic resource is seperate, and the student is free to use any means at their disposal to learn the subject, in an age where information is freely available this would lead to students learning faster and more efficiently.
Students who are not too keen on using the internet can hire private teachers and the likes. The goal is a system that is more free and felixble for the student, as we all learn differently and the system needs to reflect that.
