My STEM-oriented college's Muslim youth club is nearly twice the size of Christian and Catholic clubs combined, even though there are very few Muslims in my college. I'm in the Christian club and I was blown away by how many of them there were.
Most people would say that Jews are an over-represented religious group in science, but Von Neumann and many others were lifelong atheists from atheist Jewish families (Although he became catholic towards the end of his life). Muslims seem to be religiously zealous no matter how educated they are whereas Christians and Jews usually give it up.
