Thermal conductivity across planes.

I've never seen any paper deal with thermal conductivity across the planes of a unit cell of a material (e.g. BCC) despite the fact it is so obviously anisotropic in most cases and would be a huge step forward in optimising the engineering of materials.

Especially when we have doping elements. I found one on nanowires from Iran (they do science bigly) but that's it.

Why ?
