I've put the pieces together-this isn't some distant chance thing, I am 95% confident that it's happening, particularly as i've learned more. i'm not basing this off of insider knowledge, the information is all out in the open, but it's very muted, technical stuff involving releases relating to government-private partnerships and various papers, some going back over 25 years that discuss the relevant concepts.
I'm not here to make you invest your money or anything like that-I just want you to prepare for war.
The green lobby will come for fusion. Everyone in this thing knows it. Fusion is like fission, but even better-no baggage from those tragic nuclear accidents, waste that's smaller in quantity and shorter in lifespan, the complete impossibility of anything like a serious nuclear accident ever-it's a 100% solution to the issue of making carbon free power cheaply. Renewable are great, as supplementary power in places they make snse to be in like wind corridors or sunny clear areas-as baseload? Absolute trash at that kind of scale, requiring insane amounts of land and massive, expensive energy storage systems that drive the actual cost of the power up sharply. that's why the oil/gas/coal people are so gay for them-it will take many many years for us to get off the teat of oil if renewables are how we are supposed to do it.
The propaganda machine will come for fusion. they will try to dump insane, absurd regulations on it that should not apply. They will equate a fusion reactor to a fusion bomb. The same people woh say global warming is an existential threat to us will drape themselves across highways to block reactor parts from going to a site.
