I got an 86 on my multivar test, and I feel the need to make this my personal blog. It's supposedly for engineers, but they were pretty stingy on points. The most egregious example about a solid described in spherical coordinates by rho <= R and phi <= pi/4. We were supposed to describe it in cylindrical coordinates. I got two of the three equations correct, that is r^2 + z^2 <= R^2 and 0 <= theta <= 2pi. The third I said was z >= r >= 0, which I don't think is wrong, aside from the fact it's redundant because I think in cylindrical coordinates r is assumed to be >= 0 already. But out of the 10 points for that part, I lost 6. How does that even make sense? bls explain
