It is also a weed out course because integration requires discerning which integration techniques to use in what order and remembering a large number of relationships between functions while derivatives only require very basic algebraic proficiency.
>physiologyis not the physiology you're taught during AP bio i'm talking about junior and senior level physiology which Pre-meds, Neuro, Physio and Organismal biologists take which would rape most STEM majors given the volume of information and the causal inference required to do well on detailed exam questions. None of the courses are particularly hard, I don't find those 3 difficult to develop intuition for but they do tend to filter out people who have poor spatial reasoning, very bad working memory and poor study habits.
