intellectuals/rich people are "arbiters" they get voting rights and an initial life "point" (LP), 1 LP is equivalent to 5 years of life.
each point of LP can be bought for currency. In order to continue living you need to poses at least 1 point (it gives you 5 years to buy another) . Each point costs between 70-100k, all people get a buffer timer, you don't enter the LP lottery until you are 18 years of age.
If you are over 18, and don't produce goods/do research/ do not already own LP you get sent off to a meat farm. on the farm your brain is neutralized, but you body is kept alive, we make sure to pump you full of food, after you reach a certain level of mass we grind you up, all organs go hospitals for transplants, all muscle/fat goes for food production (small amount of muscles also goes for transplants).
So we will have a workforce, they are branded and they are deprived of oxygen in utero, just like in brave new word. We keep them intelegent enough to work, we feed them their own kind.
