When trying to program an A(ctual)I. Do the code monkeys understand that foundation and basics are most vital?
It's a question to me of visual input/data input. How does a cpu/motherbored SEE the information? I know they do not have eyes per say but without the proper layers of context the machines will never be anything more then a dream.
Layers provide analog... Take the word CRUSH for instance, a word with many meanings, requires the proper sub or con text. Put Candy in front of it and it's a fun harmless game, put Body in front and it could be a wrestling match or something the cops should be concerned about lol.
Even the blind, when running their hands over a flat surface can feel the subtle bumps, indentations, running paint drops, each scrape and groove giving this 1 layer some dimension.
Take again that word Crush, now simply 2 Words, Body Crush, could mean a few things but this is all that is provided, oh and a picture that could be either a stripper with a come hither stare, or freshmen being stuffed in a locker, either a joke or a warning from that little extra con or sub text right?
Like a computer looks at a 3, but what does it really see? The 2 before it, the 4 after it, or all the permutations and possibilities? 3+4 except is it truly intelligent if it doesn't understand or know why it is required to perform kindergarden math if actually intelligent?
Just asking cause society can't seem to determine through casual observations the difference in types of intelligence or (uh oh racism possibly) racial statistics relating to IQ, which is the most basic example of proving a brain works analytically I can think of but does nothing to provide evidence of the people answering these questions as having any emotional intelligence/wisdom to accompany it, let alone spacial recognition ability/software (think flies, eyes, reflexes, and depth perception).
