world's largest machine

fun fact: the LHC is the largest single "machine" in the world/universe. the entire thing runs on a synchronized 25 nanosecond clock, and the experiments that operate at its collision points also run synchronous with the LHC. and the whole thing requires a lot of advanced electrical engineering and computer science to design and program ASICs, write firmware for FPGAs, and automate the operation with software

physicists who hate on engineers and vice-versa are retarded. engineering is crucial to modern physics, and engineers wouldn't even be close to the level of sophistication of the LHC without physicists paying them to put it together and make it work.

can we all just get along and laugh at humanities bozos now?
