A 2D object leaves a 1D shadow.
A 3D object leaves a 2D shadow. (This we can verify in our own experience as light hits 3d objects and basically 'confines' the resulting shadow into 2d as it hits a wall.
It therefore follows.. that a 4D object, leaves a 3D shadow.
We are 3D objects.
Are we just shadows? And all of our movements are just the dance of some 4D object moving for it's own purposes in it's own dimension?
And if so what is the light source in this analogy? A moving lightsource in 3D causes a shadow because it represents the LACK of light photos hitting that point on the wall...
What is the 4d light source? What is the wall? Is the wall the 'ether' of 3d reality itself? We can make a 2D shadow move by moving the light source...
If we moved the 4D light source.. the 3d object would move as well. The movement is usually uniform in speed if the light source's movement is uniform in speed. Could this be time itself? Could it be that time is only moving in 3D.. because the 4d light source is slowly moving past the 4d object... causing a moving 3d shadow that we perceive is the world around us?
Hold me /sci/...
