>>11045317I dunno, I think part of the issue with this type of historiograpy is it's tied into nationalist rivalries. (it's important to keep in mind it's a story) so for example lysenkoism is particularly ridiculued in the west because it was a mistake made by our enemy. also e.g. British mathematicians and scientists are much more celebrated in the states than Germans because of WW2, anglophilia, etc.
