>>11043448i haven't looked at that book but as a person who studied high energy theory i can say that the group theory books out there i learned from during my education, they were absolute shit. people were like "read Georgi!" but that book is completely bullshit.
group theory books, or at least Lie group/continuous group theory books absolutely NEED someone to explain that shit better. i bet the fact that group theory books for physicists are so bad is one of the main reasons why string theory research nowadays is at an absolute crawl, and why physics PhD dissertations in hep-th are typically very obscure and feature lots of equations that i'm sure were spit out by mathematica rather than any sort of human physical understanding
