Disclaimer: this thread has nothing to do with the current climate change narrative, it's just informational.
What will happen to the global climate if a high percentage of the wind energy gets sapped? I've found that there are about 350k wind turbines in total globally. This probably doesn't even make a dent in the wind supply of the Earth, no?

horizontal winds are part of a circulation system that includes vertical winds, which drives cloud formation and precipitation. reduce the horizontal winds, reduce the vertical winds, reduce precipitation.

You're correct. It doesn't make a dent. You can look up average wind speeds and do power density calculations yourself but iirc there's something like 1700 TW of wind power available. Average global power use is around 20 TW. So if we got all of our energy from wind we'd be harvesting around 1% of wind energy
