This question has been keeping me up late at night :
say a point of negligible mass at the end of a fixed spring acquire a velocity V through linear spring force. Now let's say i suddenly move the other end of the spring, how would V be oriented? Would it be along the new spring position or does inertia would have it slowly change its angle? Is this somehow mass dependent?
