This makes me think there are other people who end up as fetishists because of things other than the fetish, like breaking taboos, being part of a community or sharing a secret with other weirdos. The human mind is pliable, if you do a thing enough times and tell yourself it's good and you like it a lot, you end up liking it for real.
I'm sure if every fetishist tried to pull back from the fetish just once, you'd have 75% less fetishists around.
